Eyes
Beta: None
It had begun with a simple kiss.
Nothing more.
In the rain, the cool droplets slowly dripping down their chilled flesh, lips pressed close, tongues tasting what had once been forbidden.
What was still forbidden.
Yes, they both knew His eyes were upon them, but neither cared as the dark bore the light to the raw, wet earth under their feet.
The heavens rumbled with His displeasure when clothes were stripped away, and pale flesh was kissed, suckled, and worshipped.
Black eyes watched the writhing body beneath him, his lusts burning bright as he parted creamy thighs. In the twilight of birth, they had loved. In the bitter separation, they had hated.
Lies.
Deceit.
Fury.
All had brewed within his very being, driven him to such debauchery and depravity that even the mere whisper of a memory brought a crushing blow of shame.
But time was now renewed.
Those invisible eyes, hot with disappointment as they gazed down upon the two greatest of creations, were undeniable. Poised at tight, untried innocence, the dark one cupped the light one's cheek.
"He is displeased."
Sapphire eyes blinked once, and a smile so pure that it broke the black one's heart blossomed on his love's face. "He worries for all those He loves."
"He does not love me."
The golden one turned into the hand that rested against his cheek, kissed the palm tenderly. "He has always loved you, just as I have. A father's love for his child never wavers, is unconditional to a fault. Just as a lover's. Now, take what you never could before. I am yours."
Innocence breached, ripped away in one smooth motion. No pain. Gods do not feel such mortal trivialities. All they know is connection, an intimacy long-denied them by a song sung before existence. Sweet caresses, long, languid thrusts, and softly spoken words from a God of gods and a God reborn from dark into light.
And invisible eyes turn from the scene in the rain and mud, from the coupling of two spirits so long separated. A fracture in His heart had finally healed, and He raised his own voice in a joyous song that rang from the hills to the sea, into the valleys and over the mountains.
Arda was whole once more.
